Our brain is the greatest sex organ in our body. Healthy sex and intimacy with ourselves and our partners is necessary for overall wellbeing. Often, when we are feeling stressed and anxious, sex is the first thing to shut down.
CBD might just put some people in the mood for romance. Research shows that CBD may be effective at reducing stress and anxiety. That relaxation can, in turn, reduce the distractions and worries that can hinder a positive sexual experience.
While CBD doesn’t have psychoactive affects, it may boost your mood by enhancing a neurotransmitter called anandamide.
Anandamide is our bliss neurotransmitter, and it’s also associated with oxytocin, also known as the ‘cuddle hormone”. CBD helps increase the natural neurotransmitters and endorphins that we make on our own that ultimately lead to a better sexual experience.
What’s more, is that CBD can help with inflammation and pain reduction. For women that have painful muscle spasms, making sex unenjoyable, CBD works by reducing inflammation and promoting muscle relation which in turn leads to more enjoyable sex.
If you don’t use it you lose it….
For women, more frequent masturbation, oral play and sexual intercourse stimulates circulation to the genitals. In turn, this enhances lubrication and the elasticity of vaginal tissues both of which go a long way toward boosting a woman’s enjoyment of sex.
As we age, hormone levels decline which in turn causes thinning of the tissues of vulva. The vagina can become less elastic, shorter, and more narrow, which in turn makes intercourse uncomfortable. This is why continuing sexual activity can help prevent changes in the size and shape of the vagina.
Lubrication is extremely important, but not just any lubrication. Chose a lube that is all natural, plant -based and that has other natural additives such as cannabis sativa to help increase blood flow. There are so many cannabinoid receptors in reproductive organs and sexual tissue. CBD increases blood flow to tissues, which increases sensitivity and promotes the body’s own natural lubrications.

Sexual health and well being is our basic human right and we need safe and trusting platforms to express ourselves and to receive accurate information. One of the most common concerns of our clients is lack of libido.
Sexual health is an integral component of spiritual, emotional, mental, and physical health and its intricacies are unique to each person. Since sexual health is entwined with these four aspects of our being, changes to our sexual health are rarely the result of one factor but rather the collective combination of factors that either move us towards or away from sex.
Just like the very nature of life itself, your experience with CBD products will be unique. Factors such as genetics, physiology and lifestyle will impact the effects that CBD has on your body. These products are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease. The information and reviews on this website should not replace the advice and direction of your trusted Physician or Naturopathic provider. CBD is not recommended if you are pregnant or breast feeding.
